The book also reveals how men can improve the chances of fathering a child. Included in the book are sections on:
- How to eat healthier
- Having a physical with your doctor
- Losing weight
- Meeting with a financial advisor (yes, kids cost a lot of money over the years)
- Check your workplace for hazards that can lessen your sperm count or cause injuries
- Avoiding x-rays and other potentially harmful machines and tests that can cause your sperm count to drop
The Getting Pregnant Bible also provides some information on alternative treatments for infertility, although this section is not as complete as other similar products
In The Getting Pregnant Bible, the writer makes no false promises or claims that her book will get you pregnant by simply doing a specific thing. In fact, it actually takes you through the whole process of getting pregnant (yes, there is a process). It starts with the basics, such as speaking to your doctor and your eating habits, then moves on to more complex areas of pregnancy, such as fertility treatments and what Dad-to-be can to do help the process.
User Feedback:
Shana Whittaker – “I was surprised at some of the tips and information in the book, and I started trying some out to see if they really worked or not. To my surprise, it wasn’t long before I was heading out to the store to buy pregnancy tests. Now, I’m three months pregnant and I am sure that it was due to this book and the great information that I learned in it.”
Jessie Lincolm - “It teaches things like the seven things you need to do before even you try to get pregnant to ensure a healthy pregnancy; the appropriate diet to conceive; how to increase your husband’s sperm count; the ovulation cycle and many others!”
Tamara Adolf - “For me, Christena’s book was a revealing look at the how important it is to understand your body and how it works. She provides you with the step by step process of planning to get pregnant and additional information about possible obstacles that may occur.”
Tammy Sanchez – “Well, I read the book, and found that there was a ton of things that I hadn’t tried. We both altered our diets, exercised, took vitamins, and make some changes to our lifestyle, just the way that the book recommended. Now, I will tell you, it still took me a few months to get pregnant, it wasn’t a miracle, overnight type of thing. But, we did get pregnant finally and we have a beautiful little girl now.”
Jennifer Cline, M.Sc. – “Now, there are some areas of the book that are not quite as good as they could be. First, is the length. While this is both a good and bad point, there are some areas that can be condensed for a shorter read. Second, I found some errors in the book when it comes to page numbers being off for the chapters in the Table of Contents. While this is not a big deal, it’s really just an inconvenience and not a big deal. Third, the Signs and Symptoms of pregnancy could be a little longer to include some of the odder symptoms that women are starting to experience and worry that they aren’t normal. But, here is where the book helped me. The section on fertility treatments really gave me the boost that I needed to be confident enough to talk to my husband about them. I read that section a few times and then over a nice, candlelit dinner one evening, I mentioned it to him.”
